I hear that the government will form a separate regulatory body to restore order in e-commerce. This will make e-commerce more difficult. It will be more effective to increase surveillance through the existing agencies of the government.
E-commerce Entrepreneurs Fahim Mashroor said, “We do not want a new regulatory body for e-commerce in the country. In order to bring discipline in e-commerce, the Department of Consumer Protection needs to be made more effective. It is time to hold the organization accountable. They need to be strengthened if necessary, ”he said, adding that the central bank had a big role to play in controlling e-commerce. But they have failed. These incidents have taken place in front of the eyes of Bangladesh Bank. Here their negligence was obvious. There are also questions about the role of banks.

Ziaul Haque said that this is the banking channel where so much money was transacted, what was the role of the bank. If e-commerce is monitored, new laws will not be needed.
Afsana Asif said, ‘The big difference between our country and e-commerce with Amazon is that it takes a lot of time to deliver products here. Apart from that, there is transparency in every work of Amazon, which is not available in our country. ‘

Everything that has happened in e-commerce can be said without blaming anyone alone, everyone here was to blame. The money that has been lost, now it is urgent to bring back the money.
Tanjib-ul-Alam said, “We say there is no law after any incident has taken place here. However, there are exceptions. People involved in this sector say that there is no need for law. Existing legislation has practical weaknesses. Tanjib-ul-Alam Alam further said that the existing law is the solution to all the problems.
The lack of capacity of the organization is obvious. There are competition commissions. They have laws. They needed to be proactive. But did not. The Department of Consumer Protection was not ready. He added that since no one in the sector wants a new law, the government should not rush to form a new law or regulatory body. If a new organization is formed, the existing organization will be weaker.
Rehman Sobhan said there is a serious lack of good governance in the country. That is why the customer’s money is being squandered. And this is not the first time this has happened through e-commerce. The same thing has happened many times before, but there has been no trial.
